Our Central New Plymouth Store is open Tuesday a Friday from 9.30 till 5pm and on Saturday from 9.30am till 2.30pm.
Thursday evening and late Saturday afternoon consultations are available by appointment. ​All gown try-ons require an appointment.

Ideally, we recommend allowing at least 7-8 months from selecting your gown till your wedding date. Our gown collections take 3-6 months to arrive in store from date of ordering - we can shorten this time in some instances but this will incur a rush fee. Many Brides like to select and order their gown earlier as often the chosen gown dictates the theme of the wedding. We have sample gowns available to purchase off the rack if your wedding is sooner than delivery schedules allow.

Depending on which Designer Collection you select your gown from - the delivery time can be between 3 and 6 months. We also recommend you allow 6-8 weeks after delivery until your wedding date to allow time for any necessary alterations. Dresses can be ordered on shorter time frames if necessary - however a rush fee may apply.

Typically our gowns are made to order but not made to measure. Your gown will be ordered to a standard size (based on a size chart provided by the designer) and will require a small amount of alterations on arrival. If your gown has a lace trimmed hem - we can order to the appropriate length to reduce alterations costs on arrival - in this instance it is necessary that you have your shoes picked out prior to ordering. Alternatively we may be able to request your gown be shipped with the lace unattached at the hem to alleviate any difficulty in altering your gown on arrival. Some of our stocked Designers do offer custom sizing however this is likely to still require additional tailoring on arrival as in order to get the perfect fit, a seamstress needs to tailor your gown on your body.

At present - due to space restrictions - we do not have a seamstress in store. We work with a group of very talented and experienced alterations specialists who we will refer you to - they will complete any necessary alterations. The cost of any required alterations is additional to the cost of your gown and payable directly to the seamstress.

We do recommend making an consultation appointment if you wish to try on our selection of gowns so that we can ensure you have a fitting room available and consultant to assist you. You are welcome to pop into our store at any time during opening hours to view our selection of gowns but an appointment is required to try gowns on.

We do charge a one-off $60 fee for our standard consultations - this is then deducted from the cost of any full-priced gown should you choose to order from our collections. Our limited VIP consultations carry a one-off $120 fee - this is also deducted from the cost of any full-priced gown should you choose to order from our collections. Consultation fees are not deducted from sale, special-offer or trunk show gowns. There is no additional cost if you wish to return to re-try and select your gown within 3 months of your initial appointment or if you wish to return after ordering to select accessories.

That is not a problem. Just come in with a open minded & enjoy the process. With our knowledge & experience we will help you find the perfect gown for you and we promise - you'll have a lot of fun!

There is absolutely no pressure on you to make a decision during your consultation. We are more than happy to email you the details of your gown choice/choices for you to consider. You are also welcome to return and re-try your "shortlist" within 3 months at no additional cost. We do however always advise customers that as we frequently sell gowns directly off the rack we can never guarantee that your shortlisted gown will be available to retry at a later date.

You should feel free to bring friends, family members or your wedding planner - anyone whose opinion you trust and value and who will help you make the right choice about your special day. Our consultations can be a lot of fun and are an important and special part of your wedding planning process. We do request that you limit your guest numbers to a maximum of 4 during standard consultations - should you wish to bring more guests a VIP appointment can be booked - this allows you, and your party, exclusive use of the store.

At this time, as per a request from our designers and to protect the privacy of other customers who may be in our store at the same time, we do not permit anyone to photograph the gowns during their consult. You are however, more than welcome to Skype/Facetime your friends/family during your consult if you wish to include them in the process. You are welcome to bring along your own smart device to do this - however we are set up in store to facilitate Skype video calls to your loved ones - there is no additional cost for this. Please let us know when you are booking your consult that you wish to do this so that we can insure we are set up and ready for you.

You certainly can - we carry a wide range of sizes in our sample range and have more than 150 gowns available to purchase off the rack. We can, also, on occasion order from stock on hand or place a rush order - however this may incur an additional fee and would need to be discussed at your consultation.

Yes. We have done this successfully for many brides who have contacted us by phone & email. A limited selection of stock is available to purchase via our website (simply select the appropriate filter option when viewing our collection) and our full collection of gowns are available to view on our website and can be purchased without visiting our store. We will go through all the information required with you by telephone and arrange everything for you. There are various payment options available to you - please contact our store directly to discuss.

We accept cash, cheques, Eftpos and all major credit cards. We can also accept direct credit payments. Our standard ordering process requires a 50% deposit however we do offer alternative options including a 10 month interest free option - these can be discussed further with a member of our team at any time . The balance of your gown is due within 7 days of the delivery of the gown.

We offer three month lay-buy payment option on sample gown purchases. We can discuss alternative payment options during your consult if necessary.

Yes. We have a large selection of sample Bridesmaids gowns in store in a variety of colours and sizes. All of our gowns are available to order in a wide choice of colours and from sizes 7 to 30 - the take 3 months to be made to order. An appointment is required to try-on Bridesmaids gowns - this appointment carries a one-off $30 appointment fee which is payable on arrival.

Yes - we have a full range of everything a Bride needs to complete her wedding day look. We have a range of designer shoes that can be ordered to perfectly match your dress as well as a variety of styles, lengths and colours of veil. Our jewellery and accessories selection is continually updated.

We have a large selection of Ball Gowns and Formal Wear in store. This stock is seasonal and updated regularly. Many of our Bridesmaid Gown options are suitable for balls and other formal occasions - to avoid disappointment we recommend coming in to view our collection as early as possible. We can, on occasion, order to suit.

Our Bridal collection ranges in price from under $1500 up to $6500.

Typically our Helen Fontaine Collection are between $1500 and $2000, our Stella York Range is typically $2000 - $3200, Essense of Australia ranges from approx $2800 to $4000 and Martina Liana ranges from $3000 to $6500.

Our Bridesmaids and formal wear collection ranges in price from $300 - $550.

Unfortunately once your deposit is received we are unable to change or cancel your order as it will have been ordered from the designer. However - we do take a lot of time and care to ensure that you are certain about your gown choice before we progress to order status.
